Municipal Office During COVID-19 Pandemic

The Township office will be open to the public as of Monday, August 10, 2020.

If you have been SICK or feel UNWELL DO NOT ENTER the Municipal Office.  Are you experiencing any of the following symptoms?

Hand sanitizer is available in the foyer and all visitors are encouraged to use it before you approach the front counter.

MASKS WILL BE MANDATORY UPON ENTRY as per Renfrew County District Health Unit guidelines.  Please refer to the attached poster on the DO's and DON'TS of using a mask

Only two people will be allowed in the building at a time.  Practice physical distancing guidelines and follow the markings that are placed on the floor.

Staff will record visitors names and contact information for contact tracing.

Office doors and public areas will be sanitized throughout the day.  The public washroom remains closed to the public until further notice.

If you wish to meet with a staff member this will be done by appointment. 

Staff can be contacted by email or phone Monday through Friday between 8:30 a.m. until 4:00 p.m.  Please refer to the STAFF DIRECTORY for a list of email addresses.  


In an effort to do our part in keeping our community safe and to slow the spread of the virus, we encourage resident to continue to make property tax payments online or by telephone banking.  If paying by cheque please place the payment in the Drop Box on the outside of the Municipal Office.  If you require your property tax bill be stamped please include the entire bill.  When the payment is processed the bill will be stamped and mailed back to you for your records.


Building permit applications, septic permit applications, demolition permit applications and civic address request forms should be placed in the Drop Box on the outside of the Municipal Office.

In an effort to stop the spread of COVID-19 and in keeping with Provincial Regulations and recommendations, necessary changes have been made to the operation of Building and Planning Departments.  Please see the attached LETTER regarding these changes.

BLR Mini Gym Has Reopened - By Appointment Only

The BLR Mini Gym has now reopened however usage is by appointment only.  Please call the Township Office at 613-758-2061 to book your time.  The hours of operation have been reduced to week days only between 9:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m.  There will be 30 minutes between booking times to allow for proper cleaning and sanitization.

Virtual Coffee House Fundraiser for County of Renfrew Long-Term Care Homes

TAKE NOTICE that the Council of The Corporation of the Township of Brudenell, Lyndoch and Raglan proposes to enact a by-law to stop up and sell to the owners of the land abutting same that part of the original road allowance along the shore of the Genricks Lane in front of Lot 26, Concession 5, in the Geographic Township of Raglan within the Municipality laid out as Part 1 on Reference Plan 49R-19516.

The proposed by-law will come before the Council for consideration at its regular meeting to be held at the Municipal Office on the 2nd day of December, 2020 at the hour of 7:00 p.m.

Community Safety and Well-Being Public Consultation Survey

October 7The Townships of Brudenell, Lyndoch and Raglan; Killaloe, Hagarty and Richards; Madawaska Valley and South Algonquin have been working collaboratively to develop and implement a Community Safety and Well-Being (CSWB) plan for the region.

The goal of planning is to encourage the growth of communities where people feel safe, have a sense of belonging, opportunities to participate and their needs can be met.  We want to hear from you!  Resident input is necessary to ensure that the plan reflects the lived experiences and desires of the community members.

Please complete the SURVEY and share your thoughts on living in the local area and help shape the plan.

Paper copies of the survey are also available from your local municipality and select libraries.  The survey is for adults aged 16 and older.  It is voluntary, anonymous and will take approximately 15 minutes to complete.  All surveys should be submitted by November 30th, 2020.

Effective immediately, the Level 1 Fire Ban implemented May 16, 2020 for the Township of Brudenell, Lyndoch and Raglan has been lifted

This will allow for burn permits to be issued once again for the purpose of burning piled brush, piled natural vegetation or other piled wood waste/by products.  

Please ensure you are adhering to all open air burning guidelines as indicated in By-Law 2020-30.

Free OVTA Membership Opportunity

Honouring Seniors - The Creative Photography Project

OV-CAOS and their community partners are working with seniors to honour their lives and contributions to our community.  They are doing this by collecting stories and taking photographic portraits of up to fifty seniors.  The portraits are taken in a location chosen by the participants.

The stories and portraits will be exhibited publicly at the end of the project and will also be turned into a printed book.

The public will be able to listen to the meeting but we ask that they mute their phones by pressing *6. 

Water Sample Drop-Off Notice

Due to COVID-19, Renfrew County and District Health Unit advises, effective immediately, drinking water sample can be dropped off only on Tuesday and Thursday before 2:00 p.m. at Lorraine's Pharmasave in Barry's Bay.  

Reminder:  Water samples must be collected on the same day they are dropped off.

The Friends of the Rockingham Church are sorry to announce the cancellation of the 20th Anniversary Celebration planned for August, due to the COVID-19 pandemic and the restrictions in effect on public gathering.  

They also advise that the church is closed to visitors for the immediate future however the grounds and cemetery are still accessible.
