Media Release - February 11, 2021 - Return to Green-Prevent Level
Updated: Feb 11 21
Created: Feb 11 21
Palmer Rapids, ON – The Province of Ontario has permitted Renfrew County and District Health Unit to return to the Green-Prevent Level effective Wednesday, February 10, 2021. At that time, the Stay-At-Home Order was no longer in effect for our municipality.
Municipal Buildings that were closed are re-opening with pre-cautionary measures in effect. The Exercise Room at the Arena will re-open on Wednesday, February 17th. Please call for further details. Members of the public must pre-screen, sign in and wear masks when visiting municipal facilities. Any programs of Recreation will be posted on the Website. Procedures at the Waste Sites will remain the same.
While the return to Green-Prevent status is good news for our community, we must continue to be vigilant and take actions to stop the spread of COVID-19. With the delay in the vaccine roll-out and the addition of new variant strains of this virus, we must continue to adhere to public health guidelines, restrict our outings and limit our contacts.
Thank you to our families and community for their hard work for keeping us safe.
Residents are directed to the Renfrew County & District Health Unit for information and additional guidance on COVID-19 at https://www.rcdhu.com/novel-coronavirus-covid-19-2/
Mayor Keller and Councillors Budarick, Kauffeldt, Lidtkie and Rutledge.
