The Ministry of Education is providing financial Support to parents of children affected by the labour disruption.  Parents/guardians are eligible to receive between $25.00 and $60.00 per day depending on the age of their children.

Parents must submit an application, either online or by mail to receive the funding.  The link to the application is listed below or copies of the application will be available at the Municipal Office and staff will be available to assist with the application process.

MEDIA RELEASE - Renfrew County Housing Corporation Offers Support

The County of Renfrew, in partnership with Ministry of Municipal Affairs and Housing is pleased to offer funding for the Emergency Minor Home Repair Assistance Program to low-income homeowners who require minor home repairs that will allow for the continued safe occupancy of their home.  This grant is available for eligible homeowners who are at risk of being homeless.

The Emergency Minor Home Repair Assistance Program is provided in the form of a one-time grant up to the amount of $5,000.  Approved projects will be paid directly to the contractor.  The household income must not exceed $60,000 and the market value of the home must be at or below $175,000.  Participants must plan to remain in their home for at least five years and must be able to confirm they have exhausted all other funding sources available for home repairs.

Notice of Study Completion - River Bend Drive

The Township of Brudenell, Lyndoch and Raglan is undertaking a Municipal Class Environmental Assessment for the proposed bank stabilization of the Madawaska River at River Bend Drive.  

The project has become a priority for the Township due to the condition, lack of proper drainage and gradation of the roadway.  The Township owns the property that will receive the stabilization treatment.

Ontario Names Special Advisor on Flooding

John Yakabuski, Minister of Natural Resources and Forestry, and Dr. Merrilee Fullerton, Minister of Long-Term Care, announced that Doug McNeil has been named Ontario's Special Advisor on flooding.  Mr. McNeil will advise the province on ways to reduce the impacts of flooding and ensure communities can recover quickly.

Seven students from across the Ottawa Valley were successful in earning a Summer Company award to run their own business during the summer.  The Summer Company Program is funded by the Ministry of Economic Development, Job Creation and Trade for students aged 15 - 29 and is delivered by Enterprise Renfrew County.

Congratulations are offered to all entrepreneurs with a special focus on a resident of Brudenell, Lyndoch and Raglan, LUCAS ROSANDIC, who is the owner of MaLu Woodworks.

Lucas makes various items from wood including plaques, buttons, necklaces and bow ties.  These can be found at local markets and craft shows or you can contact Lucas at 613-717-3447 or at maluwoodworks@hotmail.com.
